Most Forex trading is done through systems rather than through the general dump and watch tactics that people trade in the stock market. The reason for this is that daily, hourly, and other intervals regularly make the Forex currencies cyclically go up and down. People can easily in the short term exploit this by selling the trades at the peak and buying into the troughs of the cycle. In longer term we can speculate over currencies and countries.
